About the Barrington Boosters
The Barrington Boosters Club was initially created in the 1960’s as a way to provide student athletes with awards and recognition. Over time that has evolved to also include financial support for the athletic programs at both Barrington High School and Barrington Middle School. Since its inception, Barrington Boosters has donated more than $1 million to the student athletes in Barrington.
Mission
The purpose of the Club is to encourage, stimulate, and support all intramural and interscholastic sports at Barrington High School and Barrington Middle School working as a coordinated group with the Athletic Director for the Barrington School System.

Booster Board
As the Barrington Booster Club was founded to provide support for the athletic programs at the Barrington High School and the Barrington Middle School, the priority messages to be posted on the Barrington Booster Club board/sign relate to sports at these two schools. News and events from the Town of Barrington and all school activities, events and news not necessarily related to sports are also given high priority. Events and news from non-profits/churches are posted when space is available and in these instances a donation of any amount to the Barrington Booster Club is appreciated. Although awards and honors for school clubs and student-athletes are posted, personal messages like birthdays, weddings, etc., are not. Also, it is rare that a message is posted for a commercial/for-profit venture but if it is a $25 donation is expected.
For those interested in having a message posted on the Barring Booster board, please send the message to Dave Hughes at [email protected] or mail it to P.O. Box 27. Please keep in mind that the board simply serves as a reminder for events and should not take the place of other advertising/public relations efforts. The message should be short (date, time, description and place) and be sent two weeks prior to the event date or from when the message would like to be seen on the board. As there are often a lot of messages to be posted and the board is managed by a volunteer, please don't expect a message to be put up until a couple days prior (or sometimes a day prior) to when a event or activity is happening. Dave makes every effort to put all the messages he receives on the board but sometimes due to weather or his personal and work schedule messages are not posted. The Barrington Booster Club appreciates everyone's understanding in these instances. Thank you.
